TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's new national team coach Patrick Kluivert arrived in Jakarta via Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten on Saturday night, January 11.
The Dutch coach arrived at 19:21, wearing a white t-shirt and brown blazer. He flew on KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flight 809 on the Amsterdam-Jakarta route.
Dozens of Indonesian fans warmly welcomed the former Netherlands and Barcelona FC player. Airport authorities also provided a tight escort and security.
Upon his arrival, PSSI will introduce Kluivert to the public on Sunday, January 12.
The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) announced on its website and social media on Wednesday that Patrick Kluivert will replace Shin Tae-yong as coach of the Indonesian national team.
PSSI introduced Kluivert through a video showing the 48-year-old coach when he was still an active player for Ajax Amsterdam, FC Barcelona, and the Dutch national team.
