TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Metropolitan Police have deployed 450 personnel to ensure the security of the Djakarta Warehouse Project or DWP 2024, a major electronic music festival taking place at JIExpo Kemayoran in Central Jakarta from December 13-15, 2024.
Kemayoran Police Chief, Commissioner Agung Ardiansyah, emphasized that hundreds of personnel will guard several points including inside the venue throughout the event.
“I urge all personnel to carry out their security duties diligently and responsibly. And I instruct all officers involved in security operations to refrain from carrying firearms while performing their duties,” Agung said in an official statement on Friday, December 13, 2024.
He emphasized the importance of professionalism and humane treatment of all visitors. “Check all visitors carefully and thoroughly. Any dangerous items found in visitors must be immediately confiscated, and the individuals concerned must be detained at the designated post,” he underlined.
He further expressed his appreciation for the dedication of all personnel involved in ensuring the successful and secure conduct of the concert.
As one of Asia's largest electronic music festivals, DWP 2024 presents an impressive lineup of international and local artists. The festival features six headliners: ANYMA, Armin van Buuren, Steve Aoki, Timmy Trumpet, W&W, and Zedd. Other notable performers include Alison Wonderland, Porter Robinson, San Holo, Dipha Barus, DubVision, and Radical Redemption.
