TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto will meet with the 10th and 12th Vice President of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla, at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta today, Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman said he will accompany the president in the meeting, but stopped short of revealing the meeting agenda. “I'll tell you after we discuss it,” Andi said at the Presidential Palace.
Jusuf Kalla previously spoke up about the Tangerang sea fence polemic, saying that the case had gone too far because the installation of the 30.16-kilometer sea fence had gone unnoticed by authorities.
“Thirty kilometers, and nobody knows who owns it, is unacceptable,” the former VP said when met at the DMI Central Leadership Building, East Jakarta, Monday, January 27, 2025.
Jusuf Kalla remarked that the police have, thus far, been proven competent while handling varying cases, which incites confusion over their inability to find out who was responsible for the sea fence installation.
The 30.16-kilometer Tangerang sea fence is still in the public spotlight due to its legality. The sea fence is known to be owned by PT Intan Agung Makmur, which has 234 building use rights (HGB) certificates, and PT Cahaya Inti Sentosa with 20 certificates.
