TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta gubernatorial and vice-gubernatorial candidates Pramono Anung-Rano Karno (Pram-Rano) promised to provide free nutritious breakfast for school children. This was conveyed during the vision and mission presentation session in the second Jakarta Regional Election debate at Beach City International Stadium, Ancol, North Jakarta, on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
Coming from a humble family background, Pramono stated that he knows what the people of Jakarta need. He also promised to support President Prabowo Subianto's Free Nutritious Meal program.
"We will support the program carried out by the central government under President Prabowo Subianto, which is free lunch," said Pram.
If Prabowo promised to provide free lunch, then Pram-Rano promised to provide free breakfast. "We provide free breakfast in the morning because we know this is very needed by the people of Jakarta," he said.
The Jakarta General Election Commission held the second debate for three pairs of gubernatorial and vice-gubernatorial candidates in Jakarta. The first pair is Ridwan Kamil-Suswono, the second pair is Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana, and the third pair is Pramono Anung-Rano Karno.
There was a different mechanism in the implementation of this second debate. At least seven representatives of community groups were invited to convey their aspirations to the panelists. These aspirations were then formulated into questions.
"So that the panelists can delve deeper into issues related to the economy and social welfare directly from the people who feel it," said the Head Division of Socialization, Voter Education, and Community Participation of the Jakarta General Election Commission, Astri Megatari, when met at the Jakarta General Election Commission building on Saturday, October 26, 2024.
In this debate themed 'Economy and Social Welfare,' there are six sub-themes. Starting from integrated infrastructure and excellent basic services, education and health, handling of social inequality, digital economy development and MSMEs, tourism and creative economy, and basic commodities inflation.
