TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Info Media Digital (IMD), a subsidiary of PT Tempo Inti Media Tbk which manages Tempo’s digital products, has announced a partnership with The New York Times, offering readers access to both publications through a bundled subscription. Starting December 1, 2024, subscribers can enjoy a year of access to The New York Times by subscribing to Tempo, with prices starting at Rp360,000.
Chief Executive Officer of IMD, Wahyu Dhyatmika, said that the collaboration with the prestigious American publication represents a step forward for Tempo to expand its reach and offer a more comprehensive news experience to its readers.
According to him, Tempo's digital subscriber base has experienced remarkable growth, increasing by 263% from early 2023 to October 2024. “The agreement with The New York Times, which boasts a subscriber base of 10 million, is expected to broaden Tempo's subscriber base,” he said on Thursday, December 5, 2024.
The bundling offer is available to both existing and new Tempo subscribers. Existing subscribers will receive exclusive email invitations, while new subscribers can select the bundled package during the registration process. The subscription grants access to the full spectrum of The New York Times' digital offerings, including News, Games, Cooking, Audio, Wirecutter, and The Athletic.
Andy Wright, Senior Vice President and Head of Global Institutional Subscription at The New York Times, expressed enthusiasm for this partnership. “Congratulations to Tempo on our journey together with The New York Times. To Tempo readers, enjoy all our reports,” he said.
IMD, as the digital arm of Tempo Inti Media Tbk, plays a crucial role in driving the company's digital growth.
