1. Apple Says iPhone 16 Series to Be Available in Indonesia From April 11 

Apple's iPhone 16 series will be available in Indonesia from April 11, it said on Wednesday, after Jakarta lifted a ban on its sale following the company's more than $300 million investment plan.

The Southeast Asian country of about 280 million people banned iPhone 16 sales last year as the company failed to meet composition requirements for parts to be locally made.

As previously reported, the communications ministry said on Friday, March 14, 2025, that the government has issued telecommunications permits for five different models of Apple's iPhone 16 series.

2. World Cup Qualifiers: Calvin Verdonk Confident in Indonesia's Potential to Beat Qualifying Japan 

 Indonesian national team player, Calvin Verdonk, believes that the Garuda team has a chance to win against Japan in the final match of the third round of 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Group C on June 10. He sees Japan's position, having already secured qualification for the 2026 World Cup, as a determining factor.

Japan's qualification has led to the team, coached by Hajime Moriyasu, not displaying their full strength in the remaining matches. This was evident when they did not field their key players in the match against Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, March 25.
