TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Turkey, a country known for its idyllic blend of history, cultures, landscapes, and food scenes, offers fascinating travel experiences to tourists.

Its robust tourism sophistication allows visitors to enjoy every bit of its natural wonders, cultural festivals, and food adventures like no other. Much like many other destinations, the best time to visit Turkey is when the country's breathtaking features are at their best, or around summer and spring.

When is The Best Time to Visit Turkey?

Depending on the occasion, spring is generally the best time to visit Turkey, with temperatures ranging from 50 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. During this time of the year, the country offers the most perfect ambiance for those who yearn for a beautiful exploration around Cappadocia.

Spring days, which last between March and May, in Turkey have some of the best weather throughout the year, allowing tourists to enjoy a wide range of entertainment, including the iconic hot air balloon rides. World-renowned, hot air balloon rides offer some of the most beautiful sunrise and sunset views in the world.

Visiting in the spring also gives you the chance to attend the Istanbul Tulip Festival, which is usually held in April. Although it's not an official event and therefore has no exact location, the festival is very similar to Japan's Cherry Blossom Celebration.

You can expect to see millions of tulips blooming all over the city of Istanbul. According to Conde Nast Travel, some of the best places to see tulips in bloom in Istanbul are Emirgan Park, Camlica Hill, and Gulhane Park.

On the other hand, the peak season in Turkey is noticeably during the summer, when millions of tourists are likely to flock to the country. The crowds may eventually lead to higher prices in many areas of tourism, such as accommodation, transportation, and dining options.

However, summer in Turkey is no less charming than other seasons, with stunning seascapes making the rounds. From Izmir, Bodrum, and Antalya, you can take a break surrounded by pristine beaches.

When is the Low Season in Turkey?

The low season in Turkey is from December to February as some parts of the country are covered in snow. With fewer tourists crossing the border, accommodation prices also drop. This is mainly due to the cold temperatures that limit the number of entertainment sources, including hot air balloon rides.

But if you want to see Turkey from a different perspective during the winter, consider staying at the ski resorts around Mount Erciyes, the Davraz Ski Center, the Ilgaz Ski Center, and the Sarikamis Ski Center in Kars.

Whether you're gliding over Cappadocia in a hot air balloon, enjoying the serenity of Istanbul's tulip blooms, or carving down pristine slopes during the winter months, Turkey promises to captivate your senses at every turn.
