TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Head of the National Capital Integrated Coastal Development (IKN) Basuki Hadimuljono has been appointed as the President of the Central Board of the Family of Alumni of Gadjah Mada University (Kagama) for the 2024-2029 term. Basuki, commonly known as Pak Bas, replaces Ganjar Pranowo.
The appointment of UGM Geological Engineering alumna as the president of Kagama is based on the results of the XIV Kagama National Deliberation held at the Mercure Convention Center Ancol Hotel, Jakarta, on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
"I promise to fulfill the duties of the Central Board of Kagama to the best of my ability and fairly, adhere to the Articles of Association and Bylaws of Kagama, and carry out the decisions of the Kagama National Deliberation with sincerity and devotion to the nation and state," said Basuki pledging as the president of PP Kagama in front of thousands of participants at the Kagama National Deliberation on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
Basuki expressed his gratitude for the trust given to him and sees it as an opportunity to devote himself in his remaining years. He admitted to being a true UGM family.
"I think this is my chance to network with Gadjah Mada alumni. My family is a Kagama family. My three children and all my in-laws are graduates of Gadjah Mada University. Now I want to repay my debts to Gadjah Mada University, dedicating the rest of my life to Gadjah Mada," he said.
Regarding the new programs as the new President of PP Kagama, Basuki affirmed that he will continue and implement all the programs and achievements recorded by the previous board of PP Kagama led by Ganjar Pranowo and Arie Dwipayana.
Basuki Hadimuljono, born on November 5, 1954, is an Indonesian bureaucrat currently serving as the Head of the National Capital Integrated Coastal Development since November 5, 2024. He previously served as the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing and as the Acting Head of the National Capital Integrated Coastal Development, replacing Bambang Susantono who resigned from the position.
