TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) has revealed that the average daily transaction value in the capital market achieved a record high of Rp25.06 trillion in October 2025. This is in line with the movement of the Indonesia Composite Index (IHSG), which reached its all-time high (ATH) during that period.
This achievement indicates the continued increase in stock transaction liquidity. Inarno Djajadi, the Executive Head of Capital Market Supervision, Derivative Financial, and Carbon Exchange at the Financial Services Authority, stated that, year to date, from January to October 2025, the average daily transaction value in the capital market was recorded at Rp16.62 trillion in October.
In the same period the previous year, the daily transaction value only reached Rp 12.85 trillion. "Domestic individual investors also contributed to the increase in the average daily transaction value," said Inarno during the September Monthly Commissioner Meeting press conference held online on Friday, November 7, 2025.
Inarno also stated that the domestic capital market's performance in October 2025 remained positive, bolstered by improving global sentiment and the consistent growth of the domestic economy. At the end of October, the IHSG closed at 8,163, marking a monthly increase of 1.28 percent and a year-to-date increase of 15.31 percent.
In line with the strengthening direction of the market during the reporting period, OJK noted that foreign investors recorded a net buy of Rp12.96 trillion worth of domestic stocks in October 2025. "Thus, year-to-date, the accumulation of net sales of foreign investors reached 41.79 trillion," said Inarno.
