TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A fire broke out at Gyukaku Restaurant on the 3rd floor of Grand Indonesia Mall, Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
“The fire occurred at Gyukaku Restaurant on the 3rd floor of Grand Indonesia Mall,” said Satriadi Gunawan, Head of the Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service, in a WhatsApp message on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
The fire department dispatched 13 fire trucks and 52 personnel to the scene at 12:58 a.m. to extinguish the blaze. According to Satriadi, the fire has been brought under control.
“The fire has been extinguished internally. Our teams are on-site to ensure there's no potential for re-ignition,” he said.
Satriadi could not confirm the number of casualties or evacuees, as the firefighting efforts were the primary focus. He promised to provide further updates later.
