Indonesia Masters 2026: 6 Indonesian Representatives Reach Semifinals

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Six out of nine Indonesian representatives advanced to the semifinals of the Indonesia Masters 2026 after a series of thrilling quarterfinal matches at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday, January 23, 2026.

In men’s doubles, second seeds Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri were stunned by their juniors, Raymond Indra and Nikolaus Joaquin, in a dramatic three-game battle. Fajar/Fikri claimed the first game 21-18, but Raymond/Joaquin fought back to take the second 21-19 and surged to a 21-14 victory in the decider.

This marks Raymond/Joaquin’s second win over the pair, following their triumph in the 2025 Australian Open final.

Another Indonesian men’s doubles pair, fifth seeds Sabar Karyaman Gutama and Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, advanced after defeating Malaysia’s third seeds Man Wei Chong and Kai Wun Tee 22-20, 21-19.

In women’s doubles, debutants Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti were eliminated by Japan’s Arisa Igarashi and Miyu Takahashi in three games, 21-16, 11-21, 14-21. Meanwhile, Lanny Tria Mayasari/Apriyani Rahayu and Rachel Allessya Rose/Febi Setianingrum secured their semifinal spots.

Mixed doubles saw sixth seeds Jafar Hidayatullah and Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu upset fourth-seeded France duo Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue 13-21, 22-20, 21-16 in a grueling 1 hour 20-minute match.

Adnan Maulana and Indah Cahya Sari Jamil were defeated by China’s second seeds Jiang Zhen Bang and Wei Ya Xin 20-22, 21-14, 19-21.

In men’s singles, Alwi Farhan advanced to the semifinals after defeating Japan’s Yushi Tanaka 22-20, 21-16.
