TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Indonesian women's futsal national team defeated Hong Kong 5-0 in the closing match of the 2025 Women's Futsal Asian Cup Group B Qualifiers at the Amongrogo stadium, Yogyakarta City, on Sunday, January 19, 2025. The match was fierce from the early minutes, with both teams immediately increasing the intensity of their attacks.

Citing Antara, Indonesia dominates the first half of the game, although no goals were scored due to Hong Kong’s defense. Until the final minutes before halftime, the Hong Kong national team played defensively to thwart the Garuda Pertiwi squad’s relentless pressure.

In the 17th minute, Hong Kong tried aiming for the goal post with Chan Wing Sze’s strong shot. However, Indonesia’s Sella Salsadila Agustin deftly deflected the ball.

Entering the second half, the tempo of the game between the two teams was faster than the first half. Dinar Kartikasari broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute with a strong shot, winning the first goal for Indonesia.

One minute later, Indonesia managed to extend its lead through Insyafadya Salsabillah’s score.

A third goal was obtained in the 28th minute, once again by Dinar Kartikasari, followed by a goal from Jein Sitty Way in the 31st minute. Nisma Francida Rusdiana sealed the win with a fifth goal in the 33rd minute

Towards the final minutes, the Hong Kong national team increased the intensity of their counterattack, to no avail. Hong Kong had to admit defeat after Indonesia successfully maintained its 5-0 lead to the last minute of the match.

Thus, Indonesia topped Group B of the 2025 Women's Futsal Asian Cup Qualifiers with nine points from three undefeated streaks. Indonesia secures its place in the 2025 AFC Women's Futsal Championship, which will be held May 7-18 in China.
