TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia reports that non-tax state revenue (PNBP) realization from the energy sector so far this year has reached Rp138.8 trillion. This figure is equivalent to 54.5 percent of the yearly target set at Rp254.5 trillion for 2025.
"The PNBP target in 2025 is Rp254.5 trillion, and we have collected Rp138.8 trillion so far," said Bahlil during a press conference at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources office on Monday, August 11, 2025.
Bahlil reckoned that the revenue realization marks a positive trend amid the pressure on energy commodity markets. For example, he said, the Indonesian Crude Price (ICP) in June 2025 was recorded at US$69.33 per barrel, lower than the assumption laid out in the state budget (APBN), which was set at around US$82 per barrel. Additionally, the global coal prices also dropped by 25 to 30 percent over the last six months.
"Despite the weakening oil and coal prices, we are striving to achieve the Rp254.5 trillion PNBP target," he said.
On the other hand, he claimed that the energy and mineral resources sector has absorbed 753,578 workers during the first six months of 2025. He said this is the result of investments entering the sector.
The Chair of the Golkar Party said that investments in the energy and mineral resources sector during the first semester of 2025 reached US$13.9 billion, or around Rp225.8 trillion (exchange rate of Rp16,251 per US dollar). The figure posts growth of about 24.1 percent compared to the same period the previous year, which was recorded at US$ 1.2 billion.
He detailed that the oil and gas sector made the largest contribution with an investment value of US$8.1 billion. Meanwhile, minerals and coal contributed an investment of US$3.1 billion. The electricity sector contributed an investment of US$1.9 billion, and the new renewable energy and energy conservation sector drew in an investment of US$0.8 billion.
