Jadon Sancho is scrambling to find his next club and willing to 'cut his Manchester United salary in half' to rejoin Borussia Dortmund

The Englishman did not have the option on his loan move to Chelsea activated at the end of last season and is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

As he looks to revive his career and find a move away after being stuck among Ruben Amorim's 'bomb squad' of unwanted stars, Bild report that he has spoken to Dortmund.

The Bundesliga club was a happy home for Sancho before he earned his £73million move back in 2021.

And now according to the report in Germany, he would be willing to chop his £14m-a-year deal in half to sign for the club again.

Jadon Sancho has already spent two different spells at Dortmund, who he left for United back in 2021

Chelsea opted to pay a £5million penalty fee after deciding not to sign him permanently

They say Sancho has indicated to the Dortmund management Lars Ricken and sporting director Sebastian Kehl that he would be keen on a return.

He would be willing to earn less than half of his £275,000-a-week Man United wage in a bid to find the right home where he can play regularly once more.

Juventus are among the other interested parties and it seems inevitable that Sancho will leave United before the transfer window shuts.

He has not gone with the side on their Premier League Summer Series tour of the US and is in the group along with Antony and Alejandro Garnacho after Marcus Rashford left for Barcelona.

United want to offload the players to fund new signings but Amorim said he is willing to welcome them back into the fold if no suitors can be found.

'We are just allowing these players to have time to think and to decide,' Amorim said. 'If we reach a point where they have to join the team, they will join because they are our players. I know Jason, Omar and the club have a number for these players.

'If they don't reach that, they will be Manchester United players, no doubt about that. I understand the clubs are waiting for the last minute, but they can have a surprise.

'I'm ready to receive the players. They have more competition. If you want to play in the World Cup next year you need to play, so I'm really happy with that because I have more options. If they have to fight each other to play, for me it's perfect.'

Asked about the decision to leave four players behind, Amorim said that it was important to have a 'healthy' squad who appreciate what it means to be at United.

Sancho has been banished to United's 'Bomb Squad' and is not in Ruben Amorim's plans

'If you see the best teams in the world, you feel the bond between all the players. I think that is really important,' the head coach added. 'Then I think we need to remind ourselves how special it is to be at Manchester United. It's the best club in the world.

'It should be for everyone that is on the pitch with our club.

'I really like that feeling. I really like to be in the group that is healthy. We are going to suffer and have problems. That feeling of bonding from everybody – from the staff, from the players, with the technical staff – is really important.

'I think it can help us to win some games that we are not performing so well, but something happened because the spirit is positive.'
