TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - One Piece Cafe in Indonesia, the first in Asia, opens at Senayan Park, Jakarta on Saturday, November 23, 2024. This cafe is the second permanent One Piece Cafe in the world after Las Vegas in the United States, which will be the gathering place for fans of the Japanese anime series One Piece, or Nakama.
Director of One Piece Cafe Indonesia, Franseda Natalio, stated that One Piece Cafe will bring all the iconic ornaments of anime under the direct license of Toei Animation.
"Although we are second in the world, we bring a full concept," said Franseda during the cafe's opening on Saturday, as quoted from Antara.
The concept inside the cafe will change every six months to provide a different impression and will continue to follow every One Piece story.

Borobudur Silhouette
Although filled with iconic One Piece ornaments, this cafe adds Indonesian characteristics to its logo detail. It features the silhouette of Borobudur Temple and batik as symbols of One Piece's closeness to Indonesia.
"One Piece Cafe Indonesia combines iconic Indonesian heritage ornaments reflected in the design of the One Piece Cafe logo," said Aji Pratomo Group CEO INFIA Corp and Commissioner of One Piece Cafe Indonesia.
One Piece Cafe will also feature a very large installation of the Thousand Sunny ship to provide an official One Piece merchandise shopping experience.
Blend of Japanese and Indonesian Cultures
Regional Director of Animation Indonesia, Helena Irma, stated that the collaboration combining Japanese and Indonesian cultures can be an example to support the development of other local characters out there.
Helena added that One Piece Cafe is also expected to be an additional Jakarta tourist destination aimed at foreign and local tourists.
Currently, this Jakarta One Piece Cafe is the only theme cafe of its kind in Asia. Previously it existed in Japan but only for six months. The One Piece themed cafe also appeared in South Korea, but now it has been transformed into a merchandise sales location.

Menus Inspired by Animated Characters
One Piece Cafe Indonesia presents four themed menu sets inspired by iconic characters such as Red Captain representing Luffy, Green Slash representing Zoro, Blue Kick representing Sanji, and Pink Coral representing Shirahoshi.
The Red Captain Set contains Beef and Cheese Bitterballen, Summer Salad, Meat on the Bone, and Straw Hat Peanut Berondong. This menu is inspired by Luffy's character known for his love of meat.
The Blue Kick Set includes Poulet Rti and Onde-onde Ogura, special dishes crafted with a luxurious taste. This menu reflects Sanji's cooking skills, the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates ship.
Another menu set is the Green Slash Set which includes Stamina Curry and Cendol Purin. Inspired by Zoro's character, the drink has a refreshing taste, depicting Zoro's fighting spirit as a loyal swordsman.
Lastly, the Pink Coral Set Seafood Fried Spaghetti and Pink Croffle Ice Cream are dishes with beautiful presentations, inspired by the beauty of Shirahoshi's character, the mermaid princess. The dishes are served with an elegant look that will surely captivate visitors.
