TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto attended the parade celebrating the 76th Republic Day of India at Kartavya Path, New Delhi, on Sunday, January 26, 2025. Prabowo attended as the Chief Guest.
Monitored from the PMO India YouTube account, Prabowo was seen wearing a gray beskap and a black peci. He also wore black glasses.
Prabowo arrived in a horse-drawn carriage with Indian President Droupadi Murmu at around 10:00 a.m. local time. Both were escorted by cavalry belonging to the Indian military.
Hundreds of thousands of people were seen along the right and left sides of the road welcoming the arrival of the horse-drawn carriage.
Prabowo then got off the horse-drawn carriage. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi then greeted him. Prabowo then shook hands with a number of high-ranking Indian officials who were present.

Prabowo then went up to the podium of honor. The Indian national anthem was sung. While the song was being sung, 21 cannon blasts were heard.
After that, Prabowo enjoyed the parade from the podium. It didn't last long, through the marching band from the Indonesian Military Academy (Akmil), Drumang Suling Canka Lokananta (GSCL) and the TNI contingent in action. They performed the movements accompanied by the song Maju Tak Gentar.
Prabowo then stood up and gave a salute. This was the first time the Indonesian contingent had been part of a national day parade abroad.
The Indonesian contingent consisting of 352 personnel included personnel from all armed forces, namely the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
Prabowo visited India on 23–26 January 2025 for a state visit and to attend as the chief guest of India's 76th Republic Day, Sunday, 26 January 2025.
Accompanying President Prabowo at the event were Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Culture Fadli Zon, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and the Indonesian Ambassador to New Delhi Ina Krisnamurthi.
