TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto will train his ministers and deputy ministers at the “Red and White Cabinet Retreat” on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Magelang Military Academy complex. Several materials are prepared for this occasion.
"President Prabowo is scheduled to open the Red and White Caibent Retreat,” said Deputy of Protocol and Media Bureau at the Presidential Secretariat, Yusuf Permana, in a written statement on Thursday night, October 24.
Prabowo arrived at the Military Academy on Thursday night, welcomed by the distinctive marching band of the cadets. Meanwhile, his cabinet members, totaling 136 people, arrived earlier on Thursday afternoon along with Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
Some of them greeted surrounding residents at the military academy complex.
Some of the cabinet members present at the retreat are the Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Budi Gunawan; the Coordinating Minister for Legal, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra; the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto; and the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Pratikno; the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono; the President's Special Envoy for Youth and Art Workers Development Raffi Ahmad; and Head of the Poverty Alleviation Acceleration Agency Budiman Sudjatmiko.
There was no official agenda for the cabinet members on Thursday night, as Prabowo’s boot camp will start today.
Minister of Communications and Digitals Meutya Hafid told Tempo that the ministers only registered for the event and distributed tents upon arrival. “We were also introduced to the environment and rested,” she said in a brief message on Thursday, October 24.
Head of the Presidential Communication Office Hasan Nasbi said the ministers camped at Borobudur Country Club, Magelang, upon arriving in Yogyakarta. He mentioned that the ministers, deputy ministers, heads of agencies, special envoys, and special presidential staff will be trained on state and government affairs, including a crucial lesson on corruption prevention.
"Besides receiving lessons, the retreat attendees will have time to get to know each other and build relationships," said Hasan in a written statement on Thursday.
Hasan mentioned that President Prabowo, in his directive, asked all cabinet members to unite and form a super team for the government.
