TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to preside over a Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Office in Jakarta this Friday afternoon, November 29, 2024. Hasan Nasbi, Head of the Presidential Communication Office, confirmed that the President will lead the plenary session.
“A Cabinet Meeting is planned for this afternoon. Further details about the agenda will be released later,” Hasan said in a brief message to Tempo.
Coordinating Minister for Food, Zulkifli Hasan, and Minister of Cooperatives, Budi Arie Setiadi, have both confirmed receiving invitations to the cabinet meeting. The plenary session is expected to commence around 3:00 p.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB).
When asked about the specific topics to be discussed during the meeting, Budi Arie declined to provide details. “General directions for government policies,” said the minister who is also the Chair of the Pro Jokowi or Projo volunteer group.
This afternoon's meeting will mark the third Full Cabinet Meeting of the Prabowo administration. The inaugural plenary session was held on October 23, 2024, in the Cabinet Meeting Room, Jakarta.
The second Cabinet Meeting took place on November 6, 2024, prior to Prabowo's departure for a two-week overseas trip. During this meeting, the President outlined his plans for visits to several countries and provided crucial instructions to be followed in his absence. Prabowo visited China, the United States, Peru, Brazil, Britain, and the United Arab Emirates from November 8 to 24, 2024.
