TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will hold a Full Cabinet Meeting this afternoon on Wednesday, 6 November 2024. Presidential Communication Office Head, Hasan Nasbi confirmed this to Tempo.
"Yes, today there is a cabinet meeting," Hasan said via messaging application. He did not elaborate further when asked about the discussion plans or the agenda of today's meeting.
Head of the Nutrition Agency, Dadan Hindayana, also mentioned that he was invited to attend the Cabinet Meeting at the Jakarta Presidential Palace. According to information received by Tempo, the meeting will commence at 3:00 PM at the Presidential Office.
Dadan noted that the invitation only stated that today's cabinet meeting agenda is 'President's Instructions'.
This afternoon's Cabinet meeting is the second for the Prabowo Government. The head of state held the inaugural full meeting in the Cabinet Meeting Room, Jakarta, on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
In the meeting, Prabowo emphasized the importance of team cooperation and internal consolidation in each ministry and institution.
Prabowo also highlighted the importance of unity and efficiency in managing the budget. He conveyed several key aspects that will be the focus of his government, especially in achieving public welfare, strengthening education, and law enforcement.
This former Minister of Defense during President Joko Widodo's era also underscored the significance of self-sufficiency in food and energy to face global challenges. This illustrates the government's awareness of the geopolitical risks that can affect Indonesia's food security
"Food self-sufficiency is a fundamental priority due to the global situation, a major war can break out at any time," said Prabowo.
