TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Samsung Galaxy S25 Series is confirmed to be launched in the Indonesian market soon after officially receiving the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) certificate from the Industry Ministry. Its three latest flagship models are SM-S931B, SM-S936B, and SM-S938B.

The SM-S931B is speculated to be the standard Galaxy S25 model, while the SM-S936B and SM-S938B are likely the Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra, respectively. All three models have achieved a TKDN value of 37.50 percent and support 5G connectivity.

Based on Tempo's monitoring on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, PT Samsung Electronics Indonesia has obtained the necessary TKDN certification.

Samsung has yet to officially announce the launch date for the Galaxy S25 Series in Indonesia. However, several rumors suggest that the series will be introduced in the domestic market as early as January 2025.

In contrast, the iPhone 16, which was launched globally in September 2024, is still not available in the Indonesian market. The ongoing negotiations between Apple and the Indonesian government regarding sales permits for iPhone models in the archipelago have yet to be finalized.

The Industry Ministry previously rejected Apple's initial investment proposal of Rp1.7 trillion, as it did not meet the required TKDN threshold, which is a crucial prerequisite for the sale of electronic products in Indonesia.

Recent reports indicate that Apple has increased its proposed investment value to US$1 billion, or approximately Rp15.8 trillion, in an effort to meet the TKDN requirements.
