Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the government will only respond to formal communication, regarding the U.S. pause on federal grants and loans announced by the White House, Antara reported.
“Indonesia will only respond based on formal communication through diplomatic channels or other official means, which are discussed between the government agencies of the two countries,” Indonesian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Rolliansyah Soemirat said in a brief message received in Jakarta on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
2. IMF Data Shows Indonesia Among Largest Economies by GDP in 2024
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) ranked Indonesia's gross domestic product (GDP) per capita in 2024—adjusted for purchasing power parity (PPP)—in 8th place, among others, with $4.98 trillion.
The PPP-based GDP method compares standards of living and prices of goods and services between countries. The PPP-based GDP value is measured in international dollars, or the Geary-Khamis dollar.
3. Shin Tae-yong Leaves Indonesia, How Does the Garuda Squad Rank on FIFA Before and After STY's Coaching?
Former Indonesian National Team coach, Shin Tae-yong or STY, officially left Indonesia on Sunday night, January 26, 2025. His return to his home country, South Korea, was accompanied by a number of Indonesian National Team supporters. They said goodbye before the tactician flew from Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten.
"I am truly grateful to be accompanied home like this on this journey home. I am very touched and very grateful," said Shin Tae-yong to the media upon arriving at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
