Spotify has also released the names of the artists, albums, songs, and even podcasts that dominated streams worldwide. Can you guess who came out on top?
Citing the newsroom of Spotify, here is a look at the top global trends in Spotify Wrapped 2024. Keep reading to see if your favorite singer is on the list!
Taylor Swift as Spotify Wrapped 2024’s Top Global Artist
The 2003’s Taylor Swift may not know how big she is right now. The Pennsylvania-born musician is crowned as Spotify's 2024 Global Top Artist, hitting over 26 billion global streams. This is the second time Swift has taken the top spot.
Such a monumental achievement is largely attributable to her The Eras Tour, which successfully sold a total of 4.3 million tickets, according to Pollstar. Given the popularity of her world tour, fans around the world flocked to stream her latest album, THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT: THE ANTHOLOGY.
As gratitude towards all Swifties, Spotify takes the opportunity to enhance the user experience by adding a wrapped badge to Taylor’s Spotify profile and giving away some “easter eggs” when listening to some of her songs. For example, you may find sparkles when listening to “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)”.
