TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwaghandi revealed the operational target of the new airline Fly Jaya. The minister said that his office is currently processing the flight permit for Fly Jaya.

"We have processed the permit. We are trying to do it before Eid so that Fly Jaya can participate in the flow of homecoming," Dudy said when met at the parliament building complex in Jakarta, on Thursday, January 23, 2025. He could not confirm how long the flight permit had been processed.

However, he expressed his willingness to help new airlines like Fly Jaya to operate as soon as possible. Dudy promised the same commitment to other airlines. "We will try to help new airlines that want to participate in transportation," he said.

Fly Jaya is a domestic airline serving short-haul routes in Indonesia. With the mission #ConnectingNusantara, Fly Jaya will serve the routes of Yogyakarta, Bandung, and Balikpapan, with departures from Halim Perdanakusuma, Jakarta.

Antara reported that Fly Jaya is currently in the process of obtaining its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) or mandatory permit to operate in Indonesian airspace. Fly Jaya is expected to commence flights in mid-2025.

According to its official website, Fly Jaya is committed to becoming an airline that reaches remote areas in Indonesia. This will allow people to fly to the areas that have not been easily served before.
