TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Recording Academy announced the nominations for the 2026 Grammy Awards on Friday, November 7, 2025.
“This year’s nominations remind us of the abundance of talented artists who keep the music ecosystem alive. These musicians reflect the rich diversity of today’s music,” said Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr., as quoted by Grammy.com.
Kendrick Lamar leads the pack with nine nominations, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year. He is followed by Lady Gaga and Sabrina Carpenter, each earning six nominations.
Rosé of BLACKPINK made her first-ever appearance in major Grammy categories, earning nods for Song of the Year and Record of the Year with her hit APT., featuring Bruno Mars.
The track received three nominations in total and will compete against Abracadabra (Lady Gaga), Anxiety (Doechii), DtMF (Bad Bunny), Luther (Kendrick Lamar and SZA), Manchild (Sabrina Carpenter), and Wildflower (Billie Eilish).
Billie Eilish also returns to the nominations list this year, despite her album Hit Me Hard and Soft being released in 2024 and already nominated in the previous Grammy cycle.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift’s latest album The Life of a Showgirl did not qualify for this year’s awards, as it was released in October 2025, outside the eligibility window of August 31, 2024, to August 30, 2025.
