TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The match between the Indonesian Women's National Team and Cambodia in the final of the AFF Cup 2024 ended 3-1 in favor of the Garuda Pertiwi team. With the result of the game held at the New Laos National Stadium on Thursday, December 5, 2024, the Indonesian National Team successfully made history by winning the Southeast Asian football event.

In the first half of the match, the Indonesian women's national team scored through Reva Octaviani in the 19th minute and Sydney Hooper in the 35th minute. Meanwhile, Cambodia contributed a goal through a header by Hok Saody in the 32nd minute. Indonesia's second-half goal was again scored by Reva in the 56th minute after receiving a pass from Rosdilah, who came on after halftime.

First Half

From the opening whistle, the two teams traded possession. Cambodia made several penetrations but could not find goalkeeper Laita. In the 5th minute, Cambodia won two corner kicks, but the Indonesian team cleared the ball to the middle of the field.

One minute later, Cambodia got their first shot on goal through Heng Sovanmony, but goalkeeper Laita successfully blocked it. After these two corner kicks, Cambodia started to press the Indonesian defensive line, while Claudia, Sydney, and Sheva in the front could not get the ball.

Indonesia controlled the ball and made some runs towards the Cambodian goal. When the ball landed at Katarina's feet in the 19th minute, she dribbled the ball a few steps before passing it to Reva Octaviani, who scored with a shot that beat goalkeeper Chea Fariya. The score changed to 1-0 with Indonesia temporarily in the lead.

The match became more intense in the last 15 minutes of the first half. Claudia, playing on the left wing, seemed to dribble the ball several times and was repeatedly blocked from creating chances. In the 31st minute, Katarina was fouled, resulting in a free kick for Cambodia. The ball returned to Laita's left side and Hok Saody scored in the 32nd minute. The score was 1-1.

Katarina did not stay silent and attacked the Cambodian goal with a powerful shot in the 33rd minute, but Chea managed to save it. However, Indonesia continued to attack until Sheva dribbled the ball from the left side and passed it to Sydney who scored in the Cambodian goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 2-1 in favor of the Garuda Pertiwi team.
