TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Allo Bank Indonesia Tbk (BBHI) has announced that Indra Utoyo has stepped down from his role as CEO.

According to Acting CEO Ari Yanuanto Asah, Indra’s resignation is connected to his status as a suspect in the corruption case involving the procurement of electronic data capture (EDC) machines at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI).

Indra previously served as Director of Digital, Information Technology, and Operations at BRI. Ari confirmed that Indra officially submitted his resignation on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

"So that he can concentrate on resolving the legal issues he is facing in connection with being named a suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for a case during his tenure at the previous bank," said Ari in an information disclosure filed with the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

Following Indra's resignation, the Board of Commissioners appointed Ari as acting CEO as of the same date. He assured that the bank’s operations remain stable and continue as usual.

Meanwhile, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named five suspects in the alleged corruption case surrounding the procurement of EDC machines at BRI for the 2020 to 2024 fiscal years. Alongside Indra, former Vice CEO of BRI, Catur Budi Harto, has also been named a suspect.

"In general, the procurement value is Rp2.1 trillion," said Asep Guntur Rahayu, Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution at KPK, during a press conference at the agency’s Red and White Building on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.

The other suspects include BRI's SEVP of Asset Management and Procurement, Dedi Sunardi; CEO of PT Pasifik Cipta Solusi, Elvizar; and CEO of PT Bringin Inti Teknologi, Rudy Suprayudi Kartadidjaja.

Asep explained that the estimated state losses were calculated using the real cost method, with actual costs BRI should have incurred amounting to Rp744.5 billion.

During the investigation, KPK conducted searches at two BRI offices, two private offices, and five residences. Investigators seized $200,000 allegedly belonging to Catur Budi Harto, along with electronic documents and other evidence.

Earlier, during searches at a private office and several homes, KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo reported that investigators confiscated Rp5.3 billion found in a private party’s account.

The funds were later transferred to KPK’s account. Allo Bank CEO Steps Down Amid Corruption Allegations Linked to Former BRI RoleBudi stated that the money is suspected to have originated from the EDC machine procurement fees.
