TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The full list of nominees for the Ballon d'Or 2025 has been revealed as the top footballers hurl back into a high-stake rivalry in the absence of the awards’ front-runners: Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
This year, potential winners come across a variety of European clubs, with UEFA Champions League winners and Women’s Euro champions taking full domination on the list. Some of the season’s highly sought-after pioneers, like Lamine Yamal, Ousmane Dembele, Vitinha, and Achraf Hakimi, appear to make the cut.
When does the Ballon d'Or 2025 take place?
The Ballon d’Or ceremony 2025 will be held on September 22, 2025, at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, France. Alongside the main prize, the 69th function will also present other coveted trophies for the best young player (the Kopa Trophy), the best goalkeeper (the Yashin Trophy), and the best men’s as well as women’s coach and clubs.
