TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Most parts of Jakarta and its surrounding areas are at risk of heavy rain this afternoon until evening on Monday, December 7, 2025. The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) specifically warns about the potential for thunderstorms and strong winds in South Jakarta and East Jakarta, as well as in all of Bekasi. The same prediction also applies to the entire Bogor area, all of Tangerang, and in South Tangerang City.
Referring to the latest 24-hour weather forecast from BMKG, light rain has already fallen in parts of Bogor Regency and the Thousand Islands since early this morning. The weather in the Jabodetabek (Greater Jakarta) area is generally cloudy.
From 07:00 AM to 01:00 PM WIB (Western Indonesian Time), light to moderate rain is likely to occur in South Jakarta, East Jakarta, Tangerang Regency and City, as well as South Tangerang City. At the same time, BMKG predicts moderate to heavy rain in parts of Bogor Regency and City.
From the afternoon until 07:00 PM WIB, rain is expected to be widespread across Jakarta. The rain will also reach Tangerang Regency and City, South Tangerang City, the entire area of Bogor, and Depok City. This time period is expected to experience moderate to heavy rain, with the risk of thunderstorms and winds affecting parts of Bekasi City and Regency.
In Jabodetabek, the temperature ranges from 24-32 degrees Celsius, with air humidity varying from 65 to 96 percent. The temperature in Bogor is milder, around 20 - 30 degrees Celsius. The westward wind speed varies, with a maximum of 20 kilometers per hour.
