De'Aaron Fox has agreed to an eye-watering maximum contract extension with the Spurs, according to a report.
Fox, 27, is a one-time All-Star selection and was traded to San Antonio last February.
And the organization has now invested in him even further as he agreed to a four-year, $229million extension with the team, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.
Fox is set to earn just over $37million next season in the last year of the five year, $163million deal he previously signed with the Kings.
However, his new deal will place him into a new stratosphere financially, as his average annual salary of $57.25million will be the third-highest in the league.
Only Jayson Tatum, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Anthony Davis currently have a higher average annual salary.
De'Aaron Fox has received a massive payday from the Spurs after the team traded for him
After being dealt to the Spurs in a three-team deal, Fox played just 18 games for San Antonio before being shut down for the season due to a left pinky injury.
He averaged 19.7 points and 6.8 assists for San Antonio in a season which also saw his new teammate Victor Wembanyama sidelined by a blood clot in his right shoulder.
Ultimately, the Spurs finished 34-48 and missed the play-in - before striking gold in the Draft lottery.
San Antonio nabbed the No. 2 overall in the pick and later selected former Rutgers star Dillon Harper to pair with Fox in the backcourt.
