TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's state-owned railway manufacturing company, INKA, has delivered three units of locomotive platforms to Australia for United Group Limited (UGL). The delivery was made through the Terminal Petikemas Surabaya (TPS).
Senior Manager of Public Relations and Representative Office of INKA, Hartono, said the year-end delivery marks a positive note for the company.
"In early 2026, we will send another type of train to Australia. We consider this achievement as a good momentum to maintain the continuity of deliveries and to start INKA's export performance in 2026," he said in Madiun, East Java, Tuesday, December 30, 2025, as quoted from Antara.
Hartono said the delivery to Australia is part of an earlier contract to procure a total of 50 platform units, bringing the realization to 13 units by the end of 2025.
This delivery also manifests INKA's consistent progress in serving the international railway market. Furthermore, Hartono explained that the cooperation with UGL has been ongoing.
"In addition to the locomotive platforms, INKA has also sent around 1,000 flat wagon units to UGL thus far. This is part of the company's global expansion strategy and also shows the international partner's trust in INKA's products," he said.
INKA works closely with Terminal Petikemas Surabaya to ensure the delivery is smooth-sailing and in compliance with existing export regulations.
Senior Vice President of Commercial and Business Development of PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya, Bayu Setyadi, stated that they are committed to supporting the export of national manufacturing products.
"TPS is committed to supporting the smooth export of Indonesian railway products, allowing them to be accepted and compete in the global market," Bayu said.
