Louis Rees-Zammit has been tipped to make an instant return to Wales duty by new coach Steve Tandy.
Rees-Zammit is returning to rugby after failing to break into American football. As reported by Daily Mail Sport, the 24-year-old is set to join rebel league R360 from the summer of 2026.
Who the flying wing plays for this season remains unclear but Rees-Zammit is available to represent Wales in November.
‘You wouldn’t rule anything out,’ said Tandy, when asked if Rees-Zammit could come straight back in having not played at Test level since the 2023 World Cup.
‘Zammo brings a big effect and excitement. It’s great for the game. He’s gone away to experience something new, which is class, and I’m sure he will be in outstanding physical condition.’
Wales ended a run of 18 straight Test defeats in Japan last month, so Tandy will start in November with a clean slate.
