TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The exhibition of Indonesian products dubbed "The 2nd Made in Indonesia Expo 2025" will be held at Arena Venue, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on April 17-19, 2025. The Indonesian Ministry of Trade is confident that the exhibition could generate up to Rp2.5 trillion transactions.

The Ministry's Director General of National Export Development, Mardyana Listyowati, said that this exhibition aims to expand the penetration of Indonesia's superior products in Saudi Arabia. She said the exhibition will bring together Indonesian business players with potential buyers, investors, and trade partners in the country.

"This exhibition is not only a product promotion event, but also a means to strengthen business networks through business forums and trade explorations," Mardyana said at her office in Jakarta on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, as quoted from a written statement.

She explained that Saudi Arabia is one of the potential markets with rapid economic growth, especially with the presence of Saudi Vision 2030, which promotes economic diversification. The high demand in Saudi Arabia for halal products, innovative technology, and quality services, said Mardyana, presents an opportunity for Indonesian business players.

Meanwhile, the CEO of PT Wahyu Promo Citra, Sukur Saka, said that this exhibition is organized in cooperation with the Indonesia-Saudi Arabia Business Council (ISABC) with the support of the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh-Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Trade and several related ministries.

Covering an area of 6,000 square meters, the exhibition will showcase Indonesia's superior products, business talk shows, and business matching. The exhibition is targeted to be attended by 180 exhibitors with transactions amounting to Rp2.5 trillion.

"Initially, the target was Rp500 billion. However, due to the support of the Ministry of Defense, which will encourage state-owned enterprises (BUMN) in the defense sector to participate in this exhibition, as well as the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and several provincial governments, the transaction target will be raised to Rp2.5 trillion," said Sukur Saka, who heads the organizing company of the exhibition.

Sukur Saka said that President Prabowo Subianto will inaugurate the event. The exhibition will also be attended by several ministers from the Red and White Cabinet, including the Minister of Trade, Minister of Tourism, Minister of Investment and Industrial Estates/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Minister of Religious Affairs, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs.
