TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) announced Hans Patuwo as the candidate Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GOTO to replace Patrick Walujo, who has resigned from his position. The change of position will be determined in an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on December 17, 2025.
In addition to Patrick, GOTO also announced proposed additional changes to the board of directors and the board of commissioners. Director of Public Affairs and Communication, Ade Mulyana, has also submitted his resignation to focus on family commitments and professional activities outside of GOTO.
In the board of commissioners, management announced that Pablo Malay and Winanto Kartono have submitted their letters of resignation. They will be replaced by Soelistyo and Santoso Kartono, who will be determined in the EGM.
GOTO's Chief Commissioner, Agus Martowardojo, appreciated Patrick's performance over the past two and a half years since June 2023. He stated, "We have witnessed a significant transformation period under his leadership. Since his appointment in June 2023, Patrick has steered GoTo through a transformation process that has strengthened the company's financial fundamentals, sharpened operational focus, and provided clarity on the company's long-term direction," he said in a written statement on Monday, November 24, 2025.
Furthermore, Agus congratulated Hans on being nominated as the Chief Executive Officer of GOTO. He mentioned that Hans is an experienced figure. "His extensive experience within the ecosystem, as well as his commitment to the welfare of driver partners and business partners, make him an ideal candidate to lead GoTo forward," he said.
Meanwhile, Patrick Walujo expressed his appreciation to the entire GOTO family who has been dedicated over the past two and a half years. He mentioned that the hard work of the entire team has improved GOTO's position. "I also want to congratulate Hans, who has played a vital role in GoTo's journey for almost a decade," he said.
Patrick also appreciated Hans, who has played a vital role in GOTO's journey. According to him, Hans has a comprehensive understanding of GOTO's operations, field knowledge, and corporate strategy. "His proven leadership capabilities and integrity make Hans the right person to lead GoTo into a new phase of its journey," he said.
According to GOTO's official website, Hans is the President of On Demand Services and the Chief Operating Officer of GOTO. Born in 1976, he previously served as the President of Financial Technology in 2023 after being the Head of Payments and Financial Services from 2021-2022.
He also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of PT Gofin Karya Anak Bangsa (GKAB) and PT Midtrans. Before that, Hans was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Gojek from 2018 to 2021.
Prior to joining Gojek, Hans was the COO of Paper at PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Tbk, a member of the Sinarmas Group, from 2015 to 2017, and a Partner at McKinsey, a top global management consulting firm, from 2008 to 2014 in Shanghai, Singapore, and Jakarta. Hans obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA, in 1997.
