TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The official website of the National Traffic Management Center of the National Police or NTMC Polri has allegedly been hacked and turned into an on, online gambling site. NTMC Polri serves as a command center for information and communication that integrates information systems. The site normally displays information about current traffic conditions.

However, the page now displays online gambling promotions with the M88 agent. "The best gambling site in Asia," the screen reads.

The page also displays the identity of the M88 online gambling site. This includes the name of the owner, Mountain Breeze Limited, which was established in 2003, is licensed by PAGCOR, and is headquartered in the Philippines.

Upon accessing the site on Wednesday, November 13 at around 6:33 p.m. Jakarta time, Tempo found that the page no longer displayed online gambling promotions, but instead displayed a message that the site was blocked.

The Police Chief of the Public Relations Division, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, stated that the Police's Traffic Corps is coordinating with the Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim) to verify the hacking allegations.

Police public relations chief Insp. Gen. Sandi Nugroho said the police traffic corps was coordinating with the Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim) to verify the hacking allegations.

"We have heard about it from our friends. But we are officially coordinating with the Traffic Corps and Bareskrim to confirm it," he told reporters at police headquarters on Wednesday, November 13.

Sandi also asked the public to wait for the ongoing investigation by the internal teams of the Traffic Police and Bareskrim. "We will announce when there is an update," he added.

Tempo contacted the Traffic Police chief, Inspector General Aan Suhanan, but he had yet to respond at the time of writing.
