TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT PERTAMINA Patra Niaga ensures the availability of fuel oil (BBM) and LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) for the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) celebrations in 2025-2026. The company is continuously increasing its stock and strengthening its distribution fleet to anticipate a surge in consumption.
"We ensure the availability of BBM and LPG for the people during the Christmas and New Year celebrations. We are continuously increasing our stock to ensure optimal service," said the President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Mars Ega Legowo Putra, after a meeting with the House of Representatives' Commission XII on Monday, November 24, 2025.
Mars Ega stated that the company continues to increase its supply until the end of November. The national BBM stock's resilience currently reaches 20.2 days and will be increased to 22-23 days. The additional supply comes from increased refinery production and the import of various types of BBM such as Pertamax Turbo and Pertalite.
Another strategy, he said, is to strengthen the distribution network from the depot to the gas stations. Additional fleet of ships has also been prepared to ensure smooth inter-island supply. Additionally, 346 additional tanker trucks will operate with complete reserve personnel.
"The company also prepares tanker pocket trucks in certain areas to speed up refueling at gas stations without having to return to the terminal," he said.
Mars Ega added that the BBM terminals will remain operational on weekends. Starting mid-December, around 1,800 gas stations will be open 24 hours to expand services during the holiday season.
In the same opportunity, the Head of BPH Migas, Wahyudin Anas, stated that the readiness of Pertalite stock until the end of December is projected to reach 90.43 percent of the national quota of 31.13 million kiloliters, thus still having a reserve of 9.57 percent. For Bio Solar, the supply realization reaches 98.14 percent of the requirement, and kerosene is still available at 2.94 percent for areas that have not switched to LPG.
Wahyudin added that the increase in national stock to 20.2 days on November 23 shows the distribution readiness before the peak of community mobility. "We ensure that the national stock is very safe. Pertamina, together with all stakeholders, continues to monitor daily," he said.
