TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Pertamina (Persero) is offering 19 projects worth US$9.25 billion, or approximately Rp150 trillion, to potential investors and partners during Pertamina Investor Day.
“There will be opportunities to interact with Pertamina’s sub-holdings and explore business collaboration in 19 projects worth US$9.25 billion,” said Pertamina President Director Simon Aloysius Mantiri in front of investors at the event held in Jakarta on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
Simon explained that this year’s Pertamina Investor Day carries the theme Navigating Challenges Towards Energy Resilience, which reflects Pertamina’s commitment to addressing various challenges to Indonesia’s energy security. This commitment supports President Prabowo Subianto’s Astacita program, which includes achieving national energy resilience.
To help realize this goal, Simon said the government established Danantara, which now owns 99 percent of Pertamina’s Series B shares through operational holdings.
Aligned with its vision to become a world-class sovereign wealth fund that contributes to national development and public welfare, Danantara has become a key player in promoting synergy among state-owned energy enterprises.
“Therefore, Danantara’s support plays a crucial role in helping us move forward, in line with the new government’s priorities,” said Simon.
Pertamina has outlined two strategic pillars as its long-term focus. The first is to maximize businesses that support national energy resilience, including upstream operations, refining, and fuel distribution.
The second pillar focuses on developing low-carbon businesses by expanding biofuels, growing geothermal energy, testing emerging technologies, and improving chemical product output.
“In 2025, we recognize the complexity of challenges in the energy sector, including market volatility and operational risks. We have identified these risks and implemented mitigation strategies,” Simon added.
