The golf sector also contributes to the waste issue due to the use of golf tees, which are generally made of wood and plastic. Each year, over 35 million single-use golf tees are used across 150 golf courses in Indonesia, often discarded after use. Consequently, many golf tees end up as non-biodegradable waste, adding to environmental concerns.
Seeing the problem of golf tee waste, RE:HARVEST introduces a new sustainable solution with the launch of the Malt Powder Golf Tee. This innovative golf tee is made from RE:NERGY Powder, an upcycled product developed by RE:HARVEST using a wide variety of food by-products such as wheat bran, barley, cacao shell, and more.
Malt Powder Golf Tee is more eco-friendly than traditional golf tees because it is biodegradable, and designed to decompose naturally in the soil after use. This technology is expected to help reduce the environmental impact of plastic and wood waste commonly found on golf courses.
