TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Ministry of Communications and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) has created 10,000 digital talents within 100 working days under the Red and White Cabinet of the Prabowo-Gibran Government. Komdigi's deputy minister, Angga Raka Prabowo, said the effort involves global technology companies and domestic universities.
"Our target at Komdigi is 100,000 people. However, these 100,000 digital talents are not set in stone. We are also open to collaboration and cooperation with all parties," said Angga during the launch of the Digital Talent Scholarship (DTS) Program and the Indonesian Digital Society Index (IMDI) at the Digital Talent Center in Bekasi, as quoted from a press statement on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.
This program involves companies such as Microsoft and Indosat, which aim to develop 1 million digital talents each over the next five years. In addition to quantity, Komdigi said the quality of digital talents through the "CABE" concept (Competence, Security, Culture, and Digital Ethics).
Angga also said this program aligns with President Prabowo's Asta Cita Vision to encourage society to utilize digital technology optimally.
"[Despite] the phrase '100 days' as mentioned by the president, he never truly targeted a specific number of days. We are focused each day to work for the people. At the Ministry of Communications and Digital Affairs, we are doing what we can within our scope," he said.
According to Angga, the digital talent development is also part of the government's effort to achieve 8 percent of the national economic growth target. "The president targets an 8 percent economic growth target. There's nutritious food, food self-sufficiency, energy self-sufficiency, and downstream, especially in Cikarang, where it's an industrialized region. We hope our people can also be skilled in the digital field," he said.
Previously, the Acting Head of the BPSDM of the Ministry of Communications and Digital Affairs, Hary Budiarto, explained that the DTS 2025 Program includes eight academies differentiated by target participants.
These include the Fresh Graduate Academy (FGA), Vocational School Graduate Academy (VSGA), Thematic Academy (TA), Professional Academy (ProA), Government Transformation Academy (GTA), Digital Entrepreneurship Academy (DEA), Digital Leadership Academy (DLA), and Talent Scouting Academy (TSA).
"We have created about eight academies, each targeting different segments of society. The goal is to provide digital skills to the public, which can include sectors such as MSMEs, people with disabilities, teachers, Islamic boarding schools, religious counselors, civil servants, and so on," said Hary.
Hary explained that the target for the DTS 2025 training program, which aims for 100,000 people, is divided into several levels.
The Advanced level, or ProA, has 5,000 participants. The intermediate level includes VSGA with 10,000 participants, FGA with 10,000, TSA with 3,000, and GTA with 5,000. The basic level has 37,000 participants, including 25,000 for DEA, 7,000 for TA, and 5,000 for GTA1. Lastly, there is a microskill level with 3,000 participants.
