The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) questioned the Head of the Sub Directorate of Processing at the Directorate of Processing and Marketing of Plantation Products at the Ministry of Agriculture Suprihartono. Investigators also questioned PT Haje Multi Plasindo Director Erfie Jahja.
They were examined as witnesses to the corruption of Procurement of Goods/Services for Rubber Processing Facilities at the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) for the 2021-2023 fiscal year. "Yesterday, Wednesday, December 11, the examination was carried out at the KPK Red and White Building," KPK spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika Sugiarto said in a written statement on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
She said the two witnesses were examined to explore the process of procuring goods and services for rubber processing facilitation at the Ministry of Agriculture for the 2021-2023 fiscal year. In this case, the KPK has issued Decree Number 1491 of 2024 on the Prohibition of Traveling Abroad against eight Indonesian citizens (WNI).
The eight people included in the travel ban list are DS (Private), YW (Civil Servant), RIS (Private), SUP (Civil Servant), DJ (Retired), ANA (Civil Servant), and AJH and MT (Civil Servant). Tessa said the ban on traveling abroad was carried out to investigate alleged corruption in the procurement of goods and services for rubber processing facilitation facilities.
Investigators also impose a ban on traveling abroad because their presence in Indonesian territory is needed to smooth the investigation process. This decision is valid for six months.
