TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto's pet cat, Bobby Kertanegara, has won the Top Trending Searches 2024 award for the 'Who' keyword search category from Google Indonesia. The award was given at Google's Top Trending Searches 2024 event on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
Google Indonesia Communication Manager Feliciana Wienathan said the award was based on the criteria that Bobby Kertanegara was one of the most searched names on Google Indonesia's search engine. The name of Prabowo's favorite domestic breed cat was among the local titles that dominated this year's top trends.
"This year we see, not only the movie category, (top trending) is dominated by titles from Indonesia," Feliciana said. "From Google Search, YouTube, Google Play, we see that Indonesia is increasingly loving local, increasingly creative to introduce its culture domestically and also abroad."
Bobby attended the awarding ceremony in person with a companion. He came using a stroller in a black-beige combination with the words "BK" on the front side and "Bobby Kertanegara" on the side.
The cat appeared in a batik-patterned outfit with pastel colors by Didit Hediprasetyo, Prabowo's son, who collaborated with a TikTok fashion designer. "The clothes worn by Bobby today are one of the works of designers on TikTok," said Bobby's companion.
Bobby seemed to sit calmly when receiving the award. Occasionally, he looked right and left and up or down. Bobby's companion also expressed his gratitude for his selection as one of the most searched names on Google Indonesia this year.
Bobby Kertanegara entered the top 10 for the Who category on the Google Indonesia 2024 search engine. Apart from Bobby, nine other names entered the category, namely Who is President 2024, Who is Pope Francis, Who is Major Tedy, Vina Who, Who is Marteen Paes, Who is Jennifer Coppen, Who is Shin Tae-yong, Who is Yura, and Who is Syifa Hadju.
