TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tempo Media Group launches Tempo Single Brand, a single digital platform that unites three digital journalistic products of Tempo, namely tempo.co, koran.tempo.co, and majalah.tempo.co. The launch of Tempo Single Brand took place during the Klak Klik Festival at Hallf Pati Unus, South Jakarta on November 17, 2024.
According to the President Director of PT Tempo Inti Media Tbk (TMPO) Arif Zulkifli, Tempo Single Brand aims to unify all Tempo news products into one platform. With this integration, Tempo will only have two journalistic products, namely Tempo Digital and the print magazine.
Tempo Digital will present three types of news, namely free content, freemium, and premium content.
Free content contains breaking news that can be accessed directly by readers. Freemium, a combination of free and premium, is free articles that can be accessed by registering. Meanwhile, to access paid news or premium content, readers must register and pay on a monthly or yearly basis.
Azul, as Arif is commonly called, says Tempo is striving to increase the number of subscribers because they want to present information independently with the support of readers. He stated that news does not come from an empty space but is presented through a long process from reporting, editing, alignment, to distribution.
"We dream that one day news production can be fully supported by reader funding, not relying on increasingly intrusive advertisements," said the former Editor-in-Chief of Tempo Magazine.
The Editor-in-Chief of Tempo, Setri Yasra, said that in Tempo Single Brand, news presentation services are also increasing. Each news is complemented with key points to help readers understand the information.
Tempo will also increase explainer articles or articles explaining a phenomenon from a specific perspective and important to be known. "All efforts and investments are solely to serve the needs of readers, for quality and healthy reading in the midst of information and misinformation flood, so that we can see the increasingly complex world more clearly," said Setri.
Tempo Single Brand is launched after nearly eleven months of trial. In addition to text news, Tempo customers will soon be able to enjoy the text-to-voice feature that allows readers to listen to the news content. Readers can also enjoy five million Tempo photo archives since 1971, as well as all Tempo news archives.
Other facilities that Tempo customers can get include joining the Tempo Telegram Group. Currently, around 3,000-4,000 people have joined the Tempo Telegram to interact with Tempo journalists.
