TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The price of gold bullion produced by Indonesia's state-owned miner PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) rose sharply in Monday’s trading, January 5, 2026.

According to data published on Antam’s Logam Mulia website, the price of Antam gold increased by Rp27,000 to Rp2,515,000 per gram, up from Rp2,488,000 per gram in the previous session.

Meanwhile, Antam set its gold buyback, or resale, price at Rp2,371,000 per gram. Buyback transactions valued above Rp10 million are subject to a 1.5 percent Article 22 income tax.

Market analyst and Director of PT Traze Andalan Futures, Ibrahim Assuaibi, previously projected that global gold prices could surge to US$4,426 per troy ounce on Monday. Based on this outlook, domestic gold prices were expected to reach around Rp2,518,000 per gram.

Ibrahim said gold prices could climb further by the end of the week, potentially reaching Rp2,610,000 per gram if the rally continues.

“Within a week, if the upward trend persists, global gold prices may return to around US$4,505 per troy ounce, while domestic gold could reach Rp2,610,000 per gram,” Ibrahim said in a statement on Sunday, January 4, 2026.

He attributed the bullish outlook to heightened geopolitical tensions, particularly following the United States’ military action in Venezuela and the detention of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, which has increased demand for safe-haven assets.

Below is the list of Antam gold prices recorded on Monday, as published on the Logam Mulia website:
