TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Vivo Energi Indonesia absorbed 100,000 barrels of base fuel from Pertamina Patra Niaga to meet supply needs at Vivo gas stations. This Business-to-Business (B2B) agreement is a continuation of the government's direction regarding the supply of fuel for private companies that have experienced stock shortages since last August.
Pertamina Patra Niaga's Corporate Secretary, Roberth MV Dumatubun, stated that this distribution is the second stage of fulfilling supply for private businesses. Previously, Pertamina Patra Niaga had distributed a similar volume to PT APR as the operator of the BP-AKR gas station.
"Vivo has absorbed 100 thousand barrels from the imported cargo that we supplied. This is part of the commitment to maintain energy availability for the public," said Roberth as quoted from a written statement on Monday, November 24, 2025.
Roberth stated that the collaboration with private companies is conducted based on the principles of transparency and Good Corporate Governance. The process includes determining volume needs, requesting supplier tenders, verifying through joint surveys, and using open-book mechanisms in commercial negotiations.
After all the requirements are met, the fuel is distributed to Vivo gas stations to serve consumers. Roberth added that Pertamina Patra Niaga is ready to continue supporting supply to other private companies in line with government policies and market needs.
According to Roberth, cross-business collaboration is necessary to maintain national energy resilience. "Ensuring public access to energy is a collective effort. We ensure that fuel supply remains safe, of high quality, and easily accessible," he said.
