Airlangga stated in the Leaders Report presented at yesterday's plenary session, that currently 720 million people worldwide are still experiencing hunger.
"The free nutritious meal program can be a real example that also encourages the use of local products, empowerment of farmers, breeders, and the expansion of economic activities whose supply chain can reach all corners of Indonesia," said Airlangga in a video statement received by Tempo on Sunday, November 23, 2025.
Gibran also emphasized that disasters are not only natural, but partly caused by human actions. He mentioned what is happening in Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, Sahel region, and other areas. Thus, Gibran emphasized the need for placing humanity at the center of global governance and pushing the G20 as a role model.
"What Indonesia started in leadership in 2022, is now continued by South Africa, especially in pushing for inclusivity, strengthening the role of the Global South in global economic governance, and ensuring that the G20 forum represents the interests of all nations," said Airlangga.
