TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Transportation Ministry along with the Traffic Police and Public Works Ministry issued a joint agreement regarding traffic regulation during the long holidays of Isra Miraj and Chinese New Year 2025. Traffic engineering includes the one-way system and the contraflow.
"This traffic regulation is important to create a smooth traffic flow so that all people who travel feel comfortable and safe by prioritizing safety aspects," said Acting Director General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Ahmad Yani, quoted by Tempo.co today, Thursday, January 23, 2025.
The implementation of contra flow applies to the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road from the direction of Cikampek (KM 47-KM 70) on January 24 from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. It will be continued on January 25 to 27, 2025 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m..
From the direction of Jakarta (KM 70-KM 47), it will apply from January 28 to 30, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 12 p.m. and continue until December 29, 2024.
Meanwhile, on the Jakarta-Bogor-Ciawi (Jagorawi) section from the direction of Ciawi, a contraflow will also be implemented from the direction of Ciawi KM 44-KM 46, starting from January 25 to February 1, from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. From the direction of Jakarta KM 21-KM 8, it will be valid from January 26 to 29, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., continuing on February 2, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Meanwhile, the one-way system will be implemented depending on the needs of hourly traffic conditions, traffic engineering indicators, evaluations, and other considerations, which will be carried out based on police discretion.
"This is similar to the Christmas and New Year's traffic," Yani concluded.
