TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe process of providing accommodation, transportation, consumption, and general services for Indonesian Hajj pilgrims has entered the contract-signing stage. The Hajj Affairs Office (KUH) at the Indonesian Consulate General in Jeddah is gradually contract signings with service providers in Saudi Arabia.

In the initial phase, the contract was signed with accommodation providers in the Makkah region. The signing occurred at the KUH office in Musyrifah, Jeddah, on Sunday, January 26, 2025.

There are 40 accommodation providers who signed contracts with the KUH Commitment-Making Officer, Zakaria Anshori. The contract signing was led by the Hajj Technical Staff/Hajj Consul at the Indonesian Consulate General in Jeddah, Nasrullah Jasam.

"This contract signing is to prepare for the management of the 1446 H/2025 M Hajj, which is just around the corner," he said in an official statement on Monday, January 28, 2025.

This contract signing, said Nasrullah Jasam, is the result of the work of the entire Service Provision Team. They have been working since December 2024, starting from the selection process to price negotiations with prospective service providers.

He aims to finalize all Hajj services in Saudi Arabia by February 14, 2025, as the Saudi Arabian government has set February 14, 2025, as the deadline for signing service contracts.

The Acting Inspector General of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag), Faisal, warned service providers to adhere to the commitments outlined in the signed contracts. They will face sanctions for any violations, ranging from fines to being blacklisted in the future.

Faisal also said that government officials would not tolerate any misconduct in the service procurement process. He urged providers to report to the Inspectorate General if any parties demand compensation in any form.
