TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Provincial Government imposes a special fare of Rp1 for users of Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta on Sunday, October 20, 2024, coinciding with the inauguration of Prabowo-Gibran as president and vice president. The statement was conveyed by Jakarta Transportation Office head, Syafrin Liputo, on Saturday, October 19.
The special fare, Syafrin said, is intended to boost interest in public transportation as well as introduce the varied public transport options in Jakarta.
"Hopefully, this special gift can be enjoyed by all residents of Jakarta," said Syafrin.
In addition to the Rp1 fare, special services such as Mikrotrans, services to assist people with disabilities and the elderly in Jakarta (Transjakarta Cares), and free transport services remain valid per Governor Regulation No. 133 of 2018 on public transport fares in Jakarta.
Meanwhile, Transjakarta operations in the vicinity of the presidential inauguration venue will undergo route modification tomorrow. The routes are as follows:
- Blok M-Kota (1): Modification via corridors 13 and 9 towards Kota, exiting Blok M. Turn left at the intersection, proceed to Corridor 13, descend from Corridor 13 to Pancoran Barat, turn around, and enter the toll road.
- Pulo Gadung-Monas (2): Operation of the Pulo Gadung-Pecenongan diversion route
- Kalideres-Monas via Veteran (3): Operation of the Kalideres-Juanda diversion route
- Pantai Maju-City Hall (1A): Operation of the Pantai Maju-Juanda diversion route
- Pulo Gadung-Rawa Buaya via City Hall (2A): Operation of the Patung Kuda demonstration trip diversion
- Senen-Transport Hub Dukuh Atas (2P): Modification via Jl. Imam Bonjol
- Kalideres-Senayan Bank DKI (3F): Shortened modification until Petamburan
- Pemuda Merdeka-Bundaran Senayan (4C): Modification via Jl. Imam Bonjol
- Cililitan-Juanda (5C): Operation of the Cililitan-Pecenongan diversion route
- Kampung Melayu-Tanah Abang via Cikini (5M): Operation of the diversion route via Pejambon
- Tebet Station-Senayan Roundabout (6D): Operating via Karet flyover (Trip HBKB)
- Manggarai Station-Blok M (6M): Modification of route shortening to Simpang Kuningan (without Tegal Parang)
- Ragunan-Senayan Bank DKI (6V): Modification of route shortening until Tegal Mampang
- Kampung Rambutan-Juanda via Cempaka Putih (7F): Operation of the Kampung Rambutan-Pecenongan diversion route
- Pasar Minggu-Tanah Abang (9D): Operation via Slipi (Trip HBKB)
- Tanjung Priok-Bundaran Senayan (10H): Shortened modification until Petamburan
- Monas-JIS (14A): Shortened route until Pecenongan
Meanwhile, several routes will not be operational on October 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m. Jakarta Time. The routes include: Ragunan-City Hall via Kuningan (6A); Ragunan-City Hall via Semanggi (6B); Palmerah Station-Transport Hub Dukuh Atas (1B); Palmerah Station-Senayan Roundabout (1F); Tanah Abang-Gondangdia Station (1H); Tanah Abang-Blok M (1N); Senen-Blok M (1P); Senen-Tanah Abang (1R); and Pinang Ranti-Senayan Roundabout (9C).
President and Vice President-Elect Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka will be inaugurated as President and Vice President for the 2024-2029 period at the parliament complex tomorrow.
Afterward, Prabowo and Gibran are scheduled to head for the Presidential Palace to attend the welcome and farewell procession with President Joko Widodo.
