Tempo.co, Jakarta - Six victims of the Glodok Plaza fire, who are still missing, are believed to have been airline crew members. Commissioner Ahmad Fauzi, the Head of the Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) Division at the National Police Medical and Health Center, has requested medical records from the Aviation Health Agency.
"According to family reports, six victims are suspected in this case. When we inquired about the victims' occupations, some families mentioned that they worked for an airline," Fauzi stated at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital in East Jakarta on Monday, January 20, 2025. However, Fauzi did not reveal the identities of the crew members or the names of the airlines they were associated with.
Fauzi announced that the Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team from the National Police Medical and Health Center (Pusdokkes Polri) has sent a letter today, Monday, January 20, 2025, to the Aviation Health Agency requesting the medical records of six individuals believed to be victims of the fire. Although the letter was sent today, Fauzi has already communicated verbally with representatives from the Aviation Health Agency.
The National Police's Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team is currently analyzing the antemortem data collected from the victims' families. However, the Kramat Jati Police Hospital is encountering challenges in identifying the victims because the incident is classified as an open disaster, which complicates the determination of who was present at the scene.“The second challenge is the condition of the victims, who suffered severe burns, reaching fourth-degree burns,” he said.
The Kramat Jati Police Hospital has collected DNA samples from 14 families who reported missing relatives in the Glodok Plaza fire in West Jakarta. The fire broke out on the night of Wednesday, January 17, 2025, and affected the 7th, 8th, and 9th floors of the building.
As of today, 14 individuals have been reported missing in the Glodok Plaza fire. The victims who are still unaccounted for are: Aulia Belinda, 28 years old, Deri Sauki, 25 years old, Osima Yukari, 25 years old, Aldrina S, 29 years old, Ade Aryti, 29 years old, Shinta Amelia, 20 years old, Indira Seviana Bela, 25 years old, Keren Shalom J, 21 years old, Intan Mutiara, 26 years old, Desti, Zukhi F.
