TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto accepted the invitation to the peak commemoration of the 102nd Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Birthday or Harlah NU at Istora Senayan, Jakarta on Wednesday evening, February 5, 2025. The head of state was accompanied by his deputy, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, along with a number of ministers and heads of agencies in the Red and White Cabinet.
Tempo's monitoring at the location, Prabowo arrived at around 19:10 local time. The General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party was seen wearing green batik with a motif. He entered the location with Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka who was wearing a formal white shirt. Both of them wore black caps.
Prabowo and Gibran were accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, General Chairperson of PBNU Yahya Cholil Staquf, and Secretary General of PBNU and Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf or Gus Ipul. Prabowo and Gibran then shook hands with a number of NU leaders and his cabinet members. After that, Prabowo greeted the NU National Conference participants who greeted him from the Istora Senayan stands.
Based on Tempo's monitoring at the location, a number of ministers and heads of agencies had arrived earlier at the 102nd NU Anniversary commemoration. Among them were Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsuddin, Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, SOE Minister Erick Thohir, and Minister of Housing and Residential Areas Maruarar Sirait.
Also present were Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian, Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and 13th Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.
In this year's NU Anniversary commemoration, PBNU carried the theme "Working Together with the People for a Prosperous Indonesia". This theme emphasizes the importance of collaboration between NU and the people in realizing equitable prosperity for the nation. Through this collaboration, NU hopes to strengthen unity and solidarity in facing various challenges faced by society.
