TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta gubernatorial candidate number 3, Pramono Anung, touched on the current economic conditions and political map. He views that there are turbulent events on a global scale and pressure from foreign politics that could impact the people of Jakarta in the future.
"It will be felt sooner or later," said Pramono at Kebon Kosong Village, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Thursday, December 12, 2024.
Even so, Pramono did not clearly explain what world events he meant. The former cabinet secretary thinks his victory in the Jakarta regional head election will bring changes to improve and face these conditions immediately.
"If the politics have not improved immediately, there must be an impact, so I thank you. The Jakarta gubernatorial election this time is the election with the lowest level of political tension," he said.
Pramono was also grateful that the Ridwan Kamil-Suswono and Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana pairs did not challenge the Jakarta election results to the Constitutional Court (MK). According to him, this condition can be utilized to collaborate in improving the city of Jakarta.
"I personally thank you because pairs 01 and 02 did not submit a lawsuit to the Constitutional Court," Pramono said.
The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) politician assessed that the contestation of the Jakarta elections had been completed and went smoothly. He hopes to carry out the mandate as a candidate for governor of Jakarta for the 2024-2029.
The Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) has determined the results of the Jakarta regional election on Sunday, December 8, 2024. As a result, the Pramono Anung-Rano Karno pair won the most votes. The PDI-P candidate pair won 2,183,239 or 50.07 percent of the votes.
Meanwhile, Ridwan-Suswono received 1,718,160 or 39.40 percent of the votes and Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana 459,230 or 10 percent.
